Theodor Leschetitzky ( 1830 - 1915 ) was born in Landshut, Hungary. A child prodigy he would study with Carl Czerny. He was prominent teacher and his students included Mieczysław Horszowski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski and Benno Moiseiwitsch. He did record some of his own piano compositions.
