Jorget Bolet ( 1914 - 1990 ) was born in Havanna, Cuba. Bolet recorded a lot of Liszt recordings in an era and time when Liszt's music was not popular. His repertoire and affinity for Baldwin pianos had Bolet recording for smaller recording labels and did not sign to a major label until he signed with Decca at the age of 64.
