Béla Siki ( 1923 - 2020 ) was born in Budapest, Hungary. He studied at the Franz Liszt Academy under Ernst von Dohnányi. He also studied with Dinu Lipatti and winning the 1948 Geneva competition brought prominence to his name. His recordings include compositions by Liszt, Bartok, and Saint-Saëns' Carnival of Animals with renowned pianist Geza Anda.
