Steven Mayer ( 1952 ) was born in Brooklyn, New York. He won the Grand Prix du Disque Liszt for his ASV world premiere recording of Liszt's Concerto Opus Posthumous and De Profundis. He has since recorded works by Liszt, Ives and Thalberg.
