Alexandre Dossin ( 1970 ) was born in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He studied at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and subsequently Moscow's Tchaikovsky conservatory. He performed well at the Van Cliburn and won first prize at the Martha Argerich competition in 2003. He has recorded works by Kabalevsky, Bernstein and Liszt under the Naxos label.
