Malcolm Frager ( 1935 - 1991 ) was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He studied at Columbia University and would perform well in the 1955 Geneva competition, the Levintritt competition in 1956 and the Queen Elisabeth competition in 1960. He would go on to record works by composers which include Prokofiev, Haydn, Mozart.
