Tatiana Shebanova ( 1953 - 2011 ) was born in Moscow, Russia. She studied at the Moscow Conservatory under Victor Merzhanov. She finished 2nd in the 1980 Chopin competition and has recorded Chopin, Feinberg and Debussy across several labels.
