Friedrich Gulda ( 1930 - 2000 ) was born in Vienna, Austria. He composed and worked on both classical and jazz music. He frequently performed his own compositions that include his Prelude and Fugue, Sonatine and transcriptions on works by composers ranging from Bach to Strauss.
